Terms of Service
The agreement between you and tikklip. Short, and meant to be read once.
Effective 2026-07-10
By creating an account or using tikklip, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What the service does
tikklip retrieves publicly available TikTok data on your instruction and returns it to you: videos without watermarks, profile listings, keyword search results, comment threads, and follower lists, exportable as CSV or JSON. Paid plans additionally expose a REST API.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok or ByteDance Ltd."TikTok" is their trademark, used here only to describe what our tool interoperates with.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials and API keys secret. Tell us promptly if a key leaks; we can revoke it. One human, one account — do not share logins to circumvent seat limits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Download or redistribute content you do not own or have the rights to use. The watermark's absence is not a licence.
- Use exported personal data — handles, comments, follower lists — without a lawful basis, or in a way that would harass, dox, stalk, or profile an individual.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw tikklip output as a competing dataset or API.
- Circumvent quotas or rate limits, whether by multiple accounts, shared keys, or automated signups.
- Use the service unlawfully, or in breach of TikTok's own terms, which continue to bind you independently of this agreement.
We may suspend an account that breaches this section, and we will tell you why.
Data you export
You own what you export. We claim no rights over it. But exported data frequently contains other people's personal information, and once it leaves our systems you are the party responsible for it under GDPR, CCPA, and every equivalent law. See our Privacy Policy for how we treat data while it is with us.
We do not own the underlying TikTok content either — the creators do. What we license you is the software and the API, not the videos, images, sounds, or text that pass through them. We make no promise that any particular use of that content is lawful, and nothing here is legal advice.
What you promise us
Each time you submit a link, a handle, or a query, you represent that:
- You have the rights, authority, and capacity to access and use the data you are asking for, and to do whatever you intend to do with it next.
- Your use complies with all applicable law and with the terms of any platform the data came from — including TikTok's, which prohibit automated extraction except as TikTok approves in writing. Those terms bind you independently of this agreement.
- You, not us, have determined that your particular use case is lawful in your jurisdiction.
You assume the risk that a third-party platform restricts, throttles, or changes access to data you rely on.
Plans, billing, and quotas
Paid plans bill monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we are required to collect.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of every billing period, and your payment method is charged again, until you cancel. There is no fixed end date. The amount, the currency, and the renewal date are shown to you at checkout before you enter payment details, and again on the receipt Stripe emails you. You can see your next renewal date at any time in your billing settings.
To cancel, open billing settings and cancel — that is the whole process. It takes no more clicks than subscribing did, and we will never ask you to email us, call anyone, or explain yourself.
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of jobs and API requests, reset at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance does not roll over. A request that fails because of a fault on our side is refunded to your quota; one that fails because you asked for something that does not exist is not.
Cancel any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months, except where the law requires one or where we have plainly failed to deliver the service.
We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email. Your existing billing period is never repriced mid-term.
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because the service is delivered immediately, by subscribing you expressly ask us to begin at once and acknowledge that you lose that right of withdrawal once we have fully performed. If we have not yet performed, the 14-day right stands and you may exercise it by emailing support@tikklip.com.
Availability
We aim to keep tikklip available and fast, but we do not promise a specific uptime, and we offer no SLA on self-service plans. The service depends on third parties — including TikTok itself — and can be degraded by changes entirely outside our control.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total aggregate liability arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless tikklip, its operator, and anyone acting on their behalf, from any third-party claim, demand, loss, or cost — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of:
- Your use of the service, or the data you obtained through it.
- Your breach of these terms, or of the promises you made above.
- Your infringement of anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or your breach of a third-party platform's terms.
We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defence, provided any settlement that admits fault on our behalf needs our written consent. This obligation survives termination and is not subject to the liability cap above.
Copyright complaints
We do not host TikTok content. A download is streamed from TikTok's own content network to your browser and never written to our disks. Nonetheless, if you own rights in material you believe has been misused through tikklip, write to support@tikklip.com and identify the work, the material at issue, your contact details, and a statement that you hold the rights and are complaining in good faith.
We will act on well-founded complaints, and we will terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe. If you believe your account was restricted in error, reply to the notice we send you and we will review it.
The API
API keys are yours to protect. You are responsible for everything done with your key, authorised or not, until you tell us it has leaked. We may rotate or revoke a key, throttle a caller, or return 429 to protect the service, and we may suspend a key immediately where there is a security or legal emergency.
We may change, version, or retire endpoints. For a breaking change to a published endpoint we will give active API customers 30 days' notice by email, except where a shorter timeline is forced on us by a security issue or by an upstream provider.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if required by law. On termination your right to use the service stops immediately; deletion of your data follows the schedule in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may revise these terms. If a change is material we will update the effective date above and email active subscribers before it takes effect. Using tikklip after that date accepts the revision. If you do not accept it, cancel — and we will refund the unused remainder of your current period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
General
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it to a successor of the business. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about tikklip, and they supersede anything said earlier. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by events genuinely outside its control.
